What is Outdoor Yoga?

Yoga is a practice dating back thousands of years which helps to keep body, mind and emotions in balance and harmony. Yoga affects every aspect of our being – our physical, mental, emotional and psychological aspects – and it becoming ever more present in the lives of people who have discovered its positive benefits.

Practicing in natural surroundings enhances this unique sense of well-being.

Who can practice Yoga in the forest?

Yoga is suitable for absolutely everyone, regardless of age.

Yoga doesn’t present any particular difficulties – and promotes a profound sense of relaxation.

Yoga sessions are perfect for families, nature lovers, groups of friends (or stag and hen ‘dos), student and team building groups.

WHERE CAN I TRY OUTDOOR YOGA

Try out this truly unique activity in Tuscany: Yoga in the Forest and SUP Yoga (on the water) in the Forest at Canyon Park.

The area dedicated to holistic activities, in a natural setting, extends over roughly 1 hectare.

The Yoga space consists of a wooden platform of 100 square metres, completely immersed in the forest. You can also try out the experience on a floating platform created by 8 SUP boards on the clear, emerald-green Lima river, accompanied by the sounds of the water.

It’s a highly relaxing practice, a chance to retreat, regenerate and let go of everyday stress and fatigue.

60 minute yoga sessions are held on the wooden platform in the forest, or floating on the river. Lessons are held by qualified instructors.

THE FOREST AT CANYON PARK

A crystal clear river in a pristine forest location

Canyon Park is a real ecosystem offering a variety of outdoor activities in the heart of Tuscany. The Park is located in a woodland area, close to a Roman bridge and a 16th century chapel building. You can try out a range of mindfulness activities here including SUP, Yoga in the forest and SUP Yoga.

There is also a woodland area dedicated to children’s activities: The Kids’ Forest. You can leave the kids here while you partake in the other activities available at the park.

 

Connect with yourself, with nature, and improve your inner energy

There are no telephone cables or wifi in the forest. The real connection is with ourselves – developing energy from within. This activity enables close contact with nature. There is no artificial energy here, and we only use natural structures in wood or fabric. Platforms are non-invasive for the woodland and are not permanent structures.
